Organising to play paintball for a group can sometimes feel like you’re herding cats. So how does it work?We have tried to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible. You can book online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Or if you’d prefer to talk to a real person, we’re happy to take you call between 7am and 7pm.
On the day, checking into paintball involves signing waivers, paying for paintball packages/protection/upgrades, getting kitted out, and attending a mandatory safety briefing, after which you’ll head out to the fields to start playing games that are fully supervised by a referee, there are breaks in between games to give you the chance to reload and rehydrate.
1. Organising a Session
- Pick a Date/Time: We recommend you book at least 2 weeks in advance to make sure you get the date and time that you want.
- Secure Session: Pay a deposit to secure your spots, you can pay on the day or collect the funds from everyone
- Collect Funds: If possible collect money from everyone and pay the full amount at least 3 days in advance to take advantage of our group prepaid deals.
2. Arrival & Check-in
- Sign in: Turn up at least 15 to 30 minutes before check-in time.
- Waivers: Everyone (including parents for kids) signs liability waivers, agreeing to follow safety rules.
- Payment: Pay for your package, protection items and/or upgrades.
3. Gear Up & Safety Briefing
- Get equipped: Put on overalls (if hired) and paintball harness, then make sure your mask fits properly.
- Safety first: You’ll attend a compulsory safety briefing covering field rules, how to use markers, and what to do when you get shot.
4. Gameplay
- Game Start: A referee (Paintball Host) explains scenario rules (e.g., capture the flag) and referees the games.
- Game Flow: Sessions have 6 x 10 minute games, broken into 3 sets with short rest breaks for refills and to allow everyone to rehydrate.
- Extra Paintballs: You start with a set amount and can get more either during the game or breaks, you can pay for extra paintballs at the end of the session.
Key Things to Know
- BYO Paintball Masks: Must be specific paintball masks with chin strap.
- Paintballs: Only use paint purchased at the field; bringing your own is NOT allowed.
- On-Field: Listen to your referee; they manage the game and keep players safe. Failure to follow the rules will result in a player being asked to leave the game zone.
- Call Your Hits: You’re “out” when hit and marked by paint.
